Friday – April 1
We start off with a Swedish buffet and a live performance by Katja & Camilla – better known from their performances with ABBA The Show and their work as the renowned cover band Waterloo. There is also a quiz for which you need to know ABBA’s songs rather well. The event starts at 19:30 and goes on till 23:00.
Saturday – April 2
This jam-packed day has it all – a big ABBA record and memorabilia fair with everything from hard-to-get rarities to ABBA stuff at bargain prices.
Of course, the ABBA Fan Club Shop has a stand with everything that we have available in our mail order store, but this is also the place to go to if you want to meet the people behind the magazine and the Fan Club.
- Görel Hanser, who initially worked as Stikkan Anderson’s secretary, then became Vice President of Polar Music and who still works/is in contact with the ABBA members today. She will do an on stage interview.
- Bubi Heilemann, the famous ABBA photographer. He will do an on stage presentation, and there is going to be an exhibition of his photos.
- Janne Schaffer, the guitarist who played on almost every album. Janne is going to play us ABBA tunes and will tell us some great stories.
- Ulf Andersson, who recorded and toured with ABBA. Ulf is going to tell us all about the 77 tour, and he brings his saxophone to play the famous I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do solo.
In the competitions and raffles, you can win many great prices – many more than ever – including items autographed by all four ABBA members and, of course, both old rarities and the latest appearances will be shown on a big screen. The huge and incredibly popular ABBA disco kicks off with a specially made video at 19:00 and goes on until midnight – yes, it has been extended again for this jubilee weekend. As always, we are at the Rottier where the bar is open all day, serving drinks and some snack food. The doors (and bar) are open from 11:00 till midnight.
Sunday – April 3
ABBA – The Movie is back on the big screen – so much fun to watch it with lots of fans. The film starts at 11:00 at the cinema near the train station. Unless you have pre-booked a package, you can buy a ticket for € 6.00 at the cinema or at the ABBA Day. Afterwards, you are welcome to join us for lunch at a Chinese restaurant nearby.
