Mono Music have confirmed that the CD recording of Benny Andersson’s and Björn Ulvaeus’ new musical Hjälp sökes will now not be available until early Autumn.

The CD, which will feature all eight songs, including the ballad Bortom Sol och Måne, plus incidental music from the show, was originally expected to be released as early as next week.

However, it is not all bad news…

Benny has told icethesite that during May the full production at Orionteatern will be recorded for Swedish television. A date has not yet been set for broadcast, but it is thought that around Christmas time 2013 is most likely.

In February, director and Benny Anderssons Orkester member Lars Rudolfsson said that suitable tracks from Hjälp sökes may be performed during BAO’s summer tour, which kicks off in Gothenburg on 18 July.

The icethesite competition to win a cast CD signed by Benny and Björn will be postponed until just before the new release date.
