Kristina från Duvemåla trailer released
A new trailer has been released for Kristina från Duvemåla in Finland as well as news of an extension of the current run into Spring 2013.
Kristina från Duvemåla opens in Helsinki
Wednesday 29 February, saw Kristina från Duvemåla finally emigrate beyond the shores of Sweden in theatrical, rather than concert form. Not to the hallowed pavements of Broadway or London’s West End but to a small theatre in Helsinki, Finland which features works in Swedish by Swedish creatives.

The smell of paint is strong inside the Svenska Teatern – Helsinki’s Swedish Theatre. A fresh coat is being applied to the stairwell. Ponytailed director Lars Rudolfsson whisks around handing out advice. On the stage stand the stars of the musical Kristina från Duvemåla, Maria Ylipää and Robert Noack. They touch noses and start to sing. The men of the Swedish band ABBA sit in the seats and watch the performance closely.

Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus’ Swedish musical Kristina från Duvemåla will be opening in Helsinki, Finland next year. The premiere is on 29 February at the Swedish National Theatre.
