Kristina från Duvemåla, the Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus masterpiece will be performed at Dalhalla on Saturday 13 August 2022.

Dalhalla is an internationally established event venue that has been described as one of the most mesmerising and beautiful outdoor arenas in Europe. During the summer months, a wide range of events are arranged which attract close to 100,000 visitors.

‎Dalhalla, or Draggängarna as it was previously called, is the name of a former limestone quarry.

In the lead roles of Kristina and Karl Oskar are Viktoria Tocca and John Martin Bengtsson. Robert is portrayed by Martin Redhe Nord, Ulrika by Evelyn Jons and Fina-Kajsa/the Narrator by the legendary Marianne Mörck.

The singers will be accompanied by Dalasinfoniettan and its choir, led by Anders Eljas.

The music in “Kristina from Duvemåla” is timeless and deeply moving – an epic story based on Vilhelm Moberg’s emigrant epic with music by Benny Andersson and lyrics by Björn Ulvaeus: the song Guldet blev till sand from the show spent 110 weeks on the Svensktoppen chart in the late 1990s and Du måste finnas has been covered by both Susan Boyle, British musical star Kerry Ellis and Newkid.
